Where will my session take place?
Almost all my sessions take place outdoors. There are dozens of beautiful outdoor locations here in the Clermont/Central Florida area that I frequent for sessions. I am always exploring new areas, and open to new ideas. In-home lifestyle sessions are popular for newborns and add a special sentimental feel to your photos.
What if I don't see a session package I would like?
My available session packages are commonly requested, however I would love to work with you to create one that will best suit your needs. Contact me and let's get planning!
How can I (& family) prepare for our photo session?
What you see in the mirror is what will be remembered. Fresh make-up and well groomed hair photograph best. For the kids, please bring wipes for runny noses and boogies. As far as what to wear, I emphasize to all my AHP families to wear what you feel best in. Photo sessions are meant to capture YOU. So wear something that makes you feel just that. As you look back on your photos, you'll be glad you stayed true to yourself rather than stepping out of the box and wearing something you wouldn't normally. Comfortable, genuine photographs are my goal. I recommend to stay away from busy patterns, they tend to distract from the focus of the image.
Do you require a deposit?
There is a 50% non-refundable initial payment due at the time of booking. This payment reserves your date, time, and my services. No other sessions will be booked at that time and my calendar will be held for your session only. In cases of cancellation within 14 days of your session, an additional booking payment may be required to secure an additional date & time. In the case of impending weather or an emergency, no additional payment is needed to reschedule.
How and when will I receive my images?
Your images will be provided to you in a private digital gallery through a link I will email to you. Turn-around time for galleries is about 14 days from your session date. Once you receive and download the digital files, I strongly recommend backing them up immediately in case you lose the files or they become corrupted. There may be a fee for replacement of the digital files, so make sure you back up your files. Photo galleries are only available for download 6 months from the date they are sent to you.
Do you offer digital images?
Yes, all AHP families are provided a private digital photo gallery. Each gallery is available for high resolution or web resolution download for safe keeping. Once you receive and download the digital files, I strongly recommend backing them up immediately in case you lose the files or they become corrupted. There may be a fee for replacement of the digital files, so make sure you back up your files. Photo galleries are only available for download 6 months from the date they are sent to you.
Will the images provided be watermarked?
I will post a few sneak peek photos on social media shortly after your session that will be watermarked for marketing purposes. The images you receive in your emailed digital gallery will not be. You are welcome to share them with family and friends.
Do you offer prints?
Yes, I can send off your images to a professional photo lab to be printed on the highest quality photo paper, ensuring quality, accurate color correction and sharp prints. There is a huge difference in quality that is extremely noticeable versus your local neighborhood same-day photo store. Whether framed or put in an album, prints are meant to last and be cherished for a lifetime. Opting for the higher grade and spending just a bit more on prints is highly recommended and rewarding in the long run. Contact me for package pricing. Large print canvases available as well.
What is the purpose of a print release?
As a photographer, I own copyright to every image I take. You will receive a print release that gives you permission to use the images for certain purposes, such as making prints or other photo products, posting on a website, or for personal use. This release is specific to you.
How many photos will I expect to receive?
For weddings, clients can expect approximately 100+ images per hour booked.
For portrait sessions, clients can expect approximately 35+ images per hour booked.
For newborn sessions, clients can expect approximately 20+ images per session. (2-3 hours)
When should I book my maternity session?
I recommend that my AHP mothers book their maternity sessions before 35 weeks. We want your belly nice and round, but not at the point of "I'm about to burst!" Every pregnancy is different, so we want you feeling beautiful with your glowing baby bump. Motherhood is an incredible journey, that is absolutely worth capturing. No matter how swollen or "big" you feel, I promise you will not regret capturing this special time in you and your baby's life.
I once had a maternity session booked for a Saturday, mom was almost 36 weeks. She had an emergency and was taken to the hospital Thursday night. She contacted me and I drove to the hospital in Orlando, we did her maternity photos in the hall and in her hospital room and she delivered her baby an hour or so later. When should I book my newborn session?
Newborn sessions should be booked in your second trimester. This gives you plenty of time to focus on your baby's arrival during the third, and not have to worry about things like photos. I book based on your due date or induction date. Newborn's are best photographed at under 10 days new, when they're extra fresh, sleepy and wrinkly.
How can I prepare for my newborn session?
You can expect your newborn session to last around 2-3 hours and are completely led by baby. The baby's safety and comfort is number one priority. We will take breaks for baby to be changed, fed & soothed. I suggest booking a time that will work best for the baby. I recommend keeping the baby awake a bit before I arrive to your home and begin feeding when I arrive. This will give me a few moments to get set up. A full belly makes for a happy, sleepy baby! I provide props, blankets, and bows. I welcome any additional outfits, blankets or props. I will need a warm area near a window with indirect natural lighting, 3' x 3' minimum will do.
